Join The Danny Wood Life Saving Club and become a lifesaver! Our club provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to become a confident lifesaver. Learn how to carry out water rescues, resuscitation, first aid, and more. Earn qualifications as you go, make friends and develop life long skills. Sign up now to make a difference in your community. Session Information: This session is tailored to adults and those over the age of 16. All participants must be able to swim at least 50m in deep water. Kit & What to bring: - Clothes that you can get wet, T-shirt/Shorts or Gym Clothing - All participants must follow the centres clothing policy which does not allow bare chests / bikini's or swimming costumes (unless under a wetsuit) - You can hire a wetsuit from the Watersports Centre for £4 - Please arrive 15 mins before the session start time and bring a card to make payment. - A Towel - Bag to hold your wet kit Where: We meet outside of Salford Watersports Centre, Salford Quays M50 3SQ. You are free to use the centre's changing and toilet facilities. Please follow all rules set by the centre staff. There is car parking available at the Lowry outlet mall or there is a car park attached to the beefeater next door to the centre called 'Whitbread' Car Park, if you park at 'Whitbread' Car Park - you can get free parking as long as you go into the watersports centre's reception and scan a QR code. Please avoid parking at the watersports centre as this is reserved for customers and the rowing club.
